My First Blog Ever.

This is the 1st blog ever for me, but I’ll try not to disappoint.  I have a lot on my mind so let’s get started.

Workplace Atmosphere
It has always be my motto “I go to work to make money, not friends.”  I fortunately enough have been lucky to call the people I work my friends.  When you have love & respect you co-workers, along with loving what you do that’s a beautiful combination.  But there’s a fine line between the relaxed attitude of friendship & taking care of business.  I myself have been at fault of this and have been working hard to separate the two.  It takes a mature person who’s been around the block to realize these things & correct there mistakes.  Not say I’m sorry & then do the same thing again.

That’s why certain jobs should have age requirements.  Young people don’t know when the have it good.  They haven’t been through the struggles to see what it takes to handle certain situations.  Young people have no respect for pecking orders; don’t understand that shit rolls down hill.  They think that they are made of Teflon.  You don’t know everything, so sometimes it’s good to listen.  This kind of disrespect for authority can ruin a wonderful workplace atmosphere.

I know some of you have been through this & there’s no right way to handle it.  But if there were an age requirement for certain jobs & job titles the world would be a much better place.  We would also have a lot of rich people in the world.  Good Work Atmosphere = Great Work = Huge Profits = Huge Bonus Checks = Everybody Rich & Happy

Now I’m not saying youngsters should have jobs.  You have McDonalds, Wal-Mart, Footlocker, & Starbucks you know jobs like that.

GET THE YOUNG ASS, DISRESPECTFUL, NEVER STRUGGLED, PUNKS OUT OF THE WORKPLACE; or just set age requirements for certain jobs.

Dee's right but not all youngsters fall into that category. Most of them do. The problem is that most of the youngster of today have no concept of consequence, hard work or sacrifice. They don't understand what it is to pay dues. They can't adapt to the real world because they still have mama's titty in their mouths

Damn, Dee! Did the shit storm over your Michael Vick comment die down so you had to think of a new bomb to drop?! That's awesome! I think that's true for a lot of young people, but not all. There's definitely a sense of entitlement there with a lot of young people. You're great and the show wouldn't be the same without you.

Usually love to join in on the Dee bashing but he's right. Feel bad for 'em really. Been told thier special by Mama and Daddy and Teacher and Mr. Rogers and now they have to actually work for what they get. Sucks to be them.

I was given my first management opportunity at the age of 20. I'm 32 now and throughout my career "elders" that have worked for me have shown zero respect. I got where I am through very hard work and determination. It goes both ways and in the end, the cream rises to the top. Just don't lump the "respect" issue in with an age group. There are plenty of older people that have had it handed to them their whole career also.

Hey Dee, Just because you're not at the bottom of the pecking order it doesn't mean you get to treat everyone below you like crap! You might get away with it from time to time but it eventually come back to get you even worse. By the way, you're not perfect and should concentrate on your own business until you are a pro from top to bottom. Would you want you boys treated like you treat Taint? Oh fuck it, I'm just a listener.

Dee, Dee, Dee, Dee, Dee....I'm saddened by your first blog. I understand that blogs are a place to air your frustrations, and you are COMPLETELY free to speak your mind. But as a man that has complained on the show many times about stereotyping, you've been very hypocritical with your first post. At age 23, I had 2 undergrad degrees (one in accounting, one in finance) as well as a Master of Accounting degree. I worked full time through most of college, as well as volunteering. I coached youth sports for five years while in college and tutored athletes at FSU. My mother and father are two of the hardest working people I know, and they've passed this on to me. One day, I hope that I can pass the virtues of hard work on to my children. I'm RARELY offended (hell, I'm a podcaster after moving away from Tallahassee and have heard every minute of L&T for a couple years and laugh my ass off the whole time, never getting offended), but you really need to think about what you've said in your first post. If you were just trying to stir up controversy, as you often do for what appears to be no other reason than the sake of entertainment, then you've succeeded as evidenced by the responses to your blog. But if you seriously have a problem with someone, and I think everyone who reads this blog agrees that you are calling out Taint, then step to him like a man. Don't be what you've referred to as an "internet gangster" (I'm paraphrasing). Don't be passive agressive. Speak your mind. That's why we love you.

I have to say I think that your WRONG! It's not about age, but about the level of maturity.

If the young asses would quit tryin to be,act and live like a rapper and leave that shit on the tv and radio life would be alot more simple without white boys actin black. Too many young people not goin to school and the home they live in is hardly a home thats why you get the shitty service at Mc Donalds,Walmart and other low paying jobs and at the same time someone has to do it. they have no respect toward the job they barely hold.Man i could keep on going but it is not worth it because it will never get any better only worse.

How about you EARN my respect? Why do people think they deserve my respect just because they are older? I know people older than me that are as dumb as rocks. Just because you are older doesn't mean a goddamn thing. Dee, you are a piece of crap I love to hate. You throw people under the bus, contradict yourself, whine, cry, and throw tantrums and pout like a baby, and turn right around and demand respect? What about you SHOULD I respect?

I agree with what you say regarding young people in the work place, but not all are like that, I know adults who act like if not worse than teenagers do. I think everyone needs to respect each other young and old alike.
