Here is a very hard to find video of Prince's preformance of "Creep" at Cochella this year.  Damn, I wish I'd have been there.

It was a long weekend, for some longer than others.

There was a bunch of tornados and one was filmed from a helicopter in OK.  If you wait till about :50 into the video, you will see some amazing destruction.  Tornados fascinate me in everyway.  But I'd rather not have to pick up my house that had been turned into mulch.

Watchmen Update:  As I have mentioned here before, I am very excited about Zack Synder's 2009 release of his movie version of my all time favorite comic experience, "Watchmen".  I don't know how he will pull this off without making it into multiple movies, but he is certainly giving it his best shot.  Anyway, The NY Times has a very exciting report that he will also release a DVD just five days after the movie is released covering the side story in the book and looks into the characters histories.

Ok, on to other things...

Last weekend I got a copy of Death Cab for Cutie's new CD.  I haven't been a hard core fan of these guys, I mean, I've liked their previous stuff and I have also enjoyed the spin off band "Postal Service".  But this new CD is really, really good.  "Narrow Stairs" is full of space rock goodness and the first single, "I Will Possess Your Heart" is an outstanding stalker anthem.  Here they are on Letterman the other night.

So a few things to check out here.

Finally, the creepy sad story about the Dallas area pastor who got busted for setting up a "hook-up" with what he thought was a 13 year old girl. He was going to teach her how to have sex. I think I had that lesson in bible study too.
