Sigh...

This video is obviously slanted and biased as it is only 12 people, but in watching it I think it tells the story on how the media can effect the general knowledge of the general populous.

Stick with it for the first few minutes and you will see what you know... People in general don't know important personalities in Congress.  But just wait for the 2nd set of questions about Palin and it is terribly revealing... You might not know the Speaker of the US House of Representitives, but I will be damned if you don't know how much the GOP spent on fancy dud's.

Remember, if the media can bend people's attention to that, it can do it for anything...

Before watching, I am not endorsing this video on the grounds of it being "anti-Obama"... Anyone with a camera could go find an equal number of McCain supporters that would answer these questions the exact same way... Hell, how many people called the show insisting that Obama is a Muslim?

Yes, you're right about this Peter, but if you're like myself, you know the real enemy of the people is not only the government, but corporate, profit-based media. They run what gets attention and gets the ratings--this election season it was Sarah Palin. People were infatuated with her not only because she was hot, but because she happen to be a little bit "media retarded". You've heard the statistic that 80% of people can't even name who their state representative is... well this just validates something that most informed people already know--people are stupid and unfortunately, they're all allowed to vote. There will never be another revolution in this country, or any real change unless you take away cable television. Until that happens it's always going to be a bunch of numbskulls who can tell you all about their favorite tv shows, but not who actually runs this country.

It goes both ways. Like you said, I could take a video to the polls and make the same video showing uninformed republican voters, so why even post the video. Especially when you continually said you didn't care about who wins, because you didn't have a guy to vote for. Media or no media, Sarah Palin is still a fucking idiot.

Wow...Not at all surprising though.I have to agree with you though Peter. I don't think we had much to choose from in this election. Thank God it's over! Back to dick jokes!

It raises a good point for both sides! Not surprising unfortunately, like bill said below.
