Scott

I’ve always wanted to be involved with radio since I was about 10. Thanks to “WKRP in Cincinnati” (season 1 out now on DVD!!) and the late Ron Clay in Louisville. Back then it was pretty magical place to be (or at least sounded that way).I had a habit of bugging the crap out of people at the local stations. I would call them and ask tons of questions. I actually got to sit in studio at WQMF with Uncle Ron once as a gift from my sister for graduation. Still one of THE coolest gifts I’ve ever gotten. Despite all that I learned and observed I still decided I wanted to be on the radio. My parents insisted I go to college where I promptly got a 1.7 my first semester and 1.5 my next. All because I would constantly be at the campus station and ignoring my classes (or really, really drunk). After being politely asked by the school to go away and not come back, I worked various odd jobs (cable tv sales, credit card and mortgage collections, nude model) until I moved from Kentucky to Jacksonville. From there I finally got someone to hire me and I spent the next 6 or so years working part time in country radio. By sheer luck the opportunity to run the show locally in Jax came open during the L&T s first stint in Dallas.

When they came back to Florida in 1998, their old producer Howie didn’t, and I got the job. Now 10 years later I’m still here beeping stuff out and dropping in stupid sound effects to help amuse you.

I'm married and have three children, a dog and a cat.

Thanks for reading and GO CUBS!!
